Yancey Coat of Arms

There is some controversy regarding the Yancey coat of arms. Dennis J. Yancey has an excellent write up on the possible origins of the coat of arms and the various possible designs. You can find it here.

The Coat of Arms on this page was taken from an image that was contained in a copy of Yancey Tolman Family Book of Remembrance - Genealogy with Allied Lines, compiled by Leonidas DeVon Mecham, 1952. The following links are various forms of a scan of that image. Click on the link to see it in your browser, or right click and "save as" to download it. The original scan is 3600 pixels wide x 5100 pixels high, 600 dpi - PNG format image (28,967,154 bytes). The PNG format is a "lossless" format, More information on the png format is here. If you would like a copy of this file, email me: quinn @ yanceyweb.com. I also have a blog.
